Le Reiki est une forme japonaise de guérison énergétique qui réduit le stress et améliore la relaxation. Le mot Reiki est composé de deux mots japonais - Rei qui signifie "la sagesse de Dieu ou la puissance supérieure" et Ki qui est "l'énergie de la force vitale". Le Reiki est en fait "une énergie vitale guidée spirituellement". Le Reiki est une pratique holistique qui s'adresse au corps, aux émotions, à l'esprit et à l'esprit.Certains avantages incluent l'amélioration de la clarté, de la concentration, de l'amélioration du sommeil, de la libération des tensions et du nettoyage émotionnel.

I specialize in nervous system-based movement and relaxation, and have over 17 years of practice and 7 years of teaching both locally and internationally. I've taught yoga for 6 years before diving into the study of somatics to deepen my understanding of chronic pain and PTSD.

I believe that healing is a lifelong process of compassion and curiosity, so I am constantly exploring new ways to help myself and others improve their quality of life. My certification includes RYT200 with Vincent Lu, Advanced Vinyasa Krama Training with Srivatsa Ramaswami, Shamanic Healing Training 1&2 with Vinod Ibex, Reiki with Bernie Heimbeiker, and am currently completing my Somatic Education with Essential Somatics.

My goal is to help people feel more alive by learning how to move better in their bodies—and then feeling good about it! If you'd like to work with me please don't hesitate to reach out!

 

However, things took a turn when I started experiencing chronic hip pain and crippling anxiety attacks. I tried everything from chiropractic care to physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage, breathwork, and even continued my yoga practice—nothing worked. That was until I found two Somatic specialists who helped me uncover the root of my issues.

All of my problems stemmed from C-PTSD and my inability to cope with stress. My body had been storing carbon monoxide, poisoning me slowly and leading to functional pain. I developed sensory-motor amnesia, freezing areas of my body that were stuck in survival mode, which eventually triggered an autoimmune condition.

I realized that I couldn’t keep ignoring the traumas I had buried for years. I had been assaulted by people I trusted and endured multiple traumatic events without seeking support. Worse still, I had been using spiritual practices to dissociate from these painful realities.

This breakdown became my breakthrough, and it saved my life. I healed my chronic pain, learned how to breathe again, and, most importantly, changed how I showed up in relationships. As I healed, I noticed that many of my clients and students were going through similar struggles. This inspired me to create my Somatic Healing Programs and my transformational coaching program, The Boundary Babe.
